Nice friendly service

Pretty standard auto shop.It has typical wait times compared to dealership and other shops near by. It took about 3 hours for an oil change. They didn't have the air filter for my car so they ordered one. Brought it back and took about 2 hours to replace. They don't have a waiting room but fortunately Sebastopol has enough places around to walk to while you wait. Prices were also competitive.

Great service! I always feel safe when I leave Golden Gear after they service my car. Honest, professional, and reliable.

Great service. Alex is very knowledgeable and I trust him completely with my 19 year old Subaru. He keeps it running great and makes small repairs before they become big issues. Very grateful to have such a careful mechanic within walking distance of my home, too!

Amazing service

Excellent service. Especially because they had installed a water pump from a supplier and discovered something wrong with it while test-driving, then took it apart and put in a replacement. In other words, really sharp quality control and taking the responsibility to redo the job.

My wife went to Golden Gear for a simple oil change. She agreed to pay $69.99. When she came to pick up her car, the mechanic told her that two air filters needed to be replaced. She was foolish not to ask for the price and they charged her $117 for two filters plus 15 minutes labor. I will not go to this garage again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Alex was so helpful, prompt and professional. He was ready to work on my car at the appointed time. He completed the work that day, so I didn’t have to come back. Alex was very nice to work with. It was a great experience
