My car broke down and I had it towed to Golden Gear. I was so happy that they were able to fix the problem and have my car back in working order after 24 hours. The team was very helpful and honest. Very direct, polite and straight forward. Thank you!

The shop presents itself well and I had hoped that I would have a new garage to be loyal to. However, big problem. Alex told me that my F250 was trashed, that it had a blown head gasket, needed new heads, the truck wasn't worth it, and there was no way it was going to pass smog, Three years later the truck is still running well, and has repeatedly smogged easily. All it needed was some basic maintenance. It's still making Home Depot runs and dump runs and firewood runs, and it's a great workhorse. It's freshly smogged, and full of firewood right now.

This is the second car I've had smogged but due to other concerns that came up, I was incredibly impressed with Alex's work & ethics. In addition, he is very personable. I also appreciate the small business which makes it easier to develop a long-term working relationship.

I had 1500 worth of repairs here that are supposed to be under a 2 year warranty it's been 7 months and 2 different mechanics have told me that the valve cover wasn't done correctly. I took it back to Alex who of course denied it. I'm so disappointed that he didn't even try to help me. I am now lost on what I can do except warn other people not to go here.
